Name: Karen Sullivan on Dec 27, 2012Comments: FIRST - I cannot believe that you are not even allowing B&N to stay and then to even think that you are putting in a Container Store!! Something that we absolutely do NOT have a market for in this area, and if there is a market for it, then there are plenty of stores here to suffice.SECOND: it is a store that many people come too and very much enjoy spending countless hours (sometimes) hanging out. I know I buy many unique gifts in that B&N store. THIRD: if you put a container store in, I WILL NOT shop at that store, I do not have a need for anything Container - I do however, have a need for books and will always have a need for books!! Kids gather for story time there, and it's a favorite passing time for them!! Take away the book store, you take away yet another REAL LIVE BOOK STORE!!! We do not have one within a 10 mile radius of here and quite frankly I am one person who wants to keep an actual book store, instead of having books stored on my tablet!! I like to feel the book as I read it! and FOURTH: For about the last 6 years, we lived within either walking distance or very very short driving distance of the Reston Barnes and Noble. for the last 6 years, it has been a favorite for me and my husband to get a coffee and go to Barnes and Noble, at least twice a week!!! Since my daughter was born 4 years ago, she now goes with us and enjoys the books as much as we do!! PLEASE do not get rid of this store!!! If you do, at the very least put it back in to the shopping center so that we can continue to have a Barnes and Noble in our area!! We love that store more than anything and honestly it's hard to find a very nice bookstore, much less one that is incredibly friendly as much as this store has been to us!! I for one, when I found out that you were getting rid of Barnes and Noble, I was extremely upset!! PLEASE - LERNER CORP - KEEP BARNES AND NOBLE!!!! (p.s. there are many other reasons I can think of to keep B&N, however, I am sure that others want to sign this Petition and not have to scroll through my comments to read others! BUT I know I am not the only person who will miss this store, and I know I am not the only person that thinks you are making ONE HUGE MISTAKE!)Flag

Name: Julie A on Dec 30, 2012Comments: This is truly sad news. I have gone to the Barnes & Noble in Reston since it first opened. It has always been the perfect place to get away for an hour or so, browse the aisles, and immerse yourself in books and magazines. Reston doesn't need a Container Store, we need to keep Barnes & Noble.Flag

Name: Wynford Lyddane on Jan 2, 2013Comments: Poor marketing analysis! Lerner is destroying Reston. Our culture is being destroyed. We need books and culture. Not overpriced plastic boxes imported from China. Can't we get those at Target right down the street already??? What a sad day. What a shameful way to start the new year. I'm in shock. Very SAD!!! Way to go, Lerner, just when Reston was getting to be a great place to live, now we have to destroy it.Flag

Name: Nancy Gillis on Jan 2, 2013Comments: I've been a loyal customer of Barnes and Noble and am absolutely dismayed that they'll be closing due to lease issues. We do NOT need a massive container store here, there is one close enough at Tysons Corner (closer than the alternative Barnes and Noble I might add). Please come to your civic senses and keep B&N in Reston!!Flag

Name: J Singh on Jan 3, 2013Comments: DON'T CLOSE BARNES AND NOBLE! They are more than a retailer. It is among the very few places that symbolizes Reston. It's also one of the rare places in Reston where my family and I enjoy visiting and shopping at on the weekends. I can guarantee you that I will not spend a single penny at the container store. Your plan will destroy the Reston life and work value that Reston itself was built upon. Please don't do it.Flag
