Comments: The building should be taken on by the council (compulsary purchased if needed) to be resored and then re-let (perhaps in a range of units) to support schemes that will enhance the community!

Comments: Pubs are vital community assets and should be protected as such from conversion except in exceptional circumstances - which don't apply in this case.

Comments: signed for CambridgePPF - a wonderful pub location which again could be a fantstic resource for local people to enjoy the heritage-rich edge of the river and being accessible to all. The river path is increasingly used by local people, a new train station will be built nearby fairly soon and existing only pub is lovely but small - Chesterton community is growing. This is the last chance to preserve this location for communal use! Do not forget to forward the petition to your friends and other local people for consideration. Carolin - CambridgePPF

Comments: This is a great place for a pub - an area that naturally draws in trade from young people working on the business and science parks. If restored and improved the penny ferry could be extremely lucrative with young tech professionals who live locally and are always happy to spend money on good beer.

Comments: Due to changes in our society pubs are not always viable. However, this is a prime site by the river and I can not understand how it can not be turned into thriving pub again which is indepentent. The Green Dragon is too much of a chain pub and needs a revamp. I wonder how long it will last too. If it can not be turned into a viable pub then it should be turned into a house to preserve its history for the locals. Turning it into exective housing is not right for this area and will not be affordable to many.
