SAVE The Norfield Tree
The Town of Weston, is once again considering cutting down The Norfield Tree. Eighteen years ago, this same issue was debated and it took a pardon from then Town Selectman to save the tree.
Assuming that the current Weston Tree Warden, finds the tree is healthy and not at risk of falling, we are asking the Town to save The Norfield Tree.
The Norfield Tree is one of largest and oldest trees in Connecticut. This four-mast tree should be celebrated and saved as part of the history of Weston. We are asking, once again, for the citizens of Weston to rescue the tree. We would also like to see many of the suggestions put forth 18 years ago implemented to help reduce any risk to drivers. Last, we should consider how we can enhance the value of this tree to the Town of Weston.
