    Comments: There is no reason to spend money on this bridge. Will we need to hire a consultant to make sure the new bridge will not change the flood plain? I understand a consultant would cost more than the estimated cost of the bridge.

    Comments: It is a landmark.. the city changes enough locally iconic features.. leave that one alone. If you change all the defects (structural or not) in a community, you start losing the feel of a community. Enough has been taken away.

    Comments: i grew up in hannibal and have knowed that bridge to be there for as long as i can remember. i had never lived on that side of town but have drove over that little bridge several times and see nothing wrong with it. i still dont see anything wrong with it as long as it is still holding up after this many years. i can understand replacing it if there is something wrong, but as the saying goes "IF IT'S NOT BROKE, DON'T FIX IT"!
