This petition is being formed to save the famous Humpty Dumpty Bridge from demolation. The bridge is located on Rt. O, near Johnston Street. The bridge has been an icon for many years due to its form. Many teenagers and adult adventures take pleasure in jumping the small hump with their vehicles and getting the tickle in their mid-sections forming a smile on thier faces. Now the City of Hannibal wants to destroy the landmark and again take another historical icon from the city limits of Hannibal. Please take the time and sign this petition and with your signture it is sending a message to our city council, to leave our small hump of fun alone, and instead make improvements on the existing bridge.   It is also sending our city council a message to stop wasting taxpayer monies on issues that do not need to be addressed at this time.  Instead devote the money in areas it is needed now, such as road improvements.  Personally I am tired of hitting pot holes.  I would like to thank you for signing the petition.  This is not a guarantee the bridge wont be removed, but at least it is a voice for them to hear before they do it.
