I really need everyone to send this link to a few people right now because hitting that next big milestone would be such a strong signal to the council. It feels like we are losing momentum and honestly I just can't let this museum shut down when it means so much to the community.

I have been spending so much time digging through old archives and honestly it is just exhausting thinking about this space sitting empty because of some budget spreadsheet. Someone mentioned the other day that they remember visiting as a kid and that really hit home for me because that is exactly why this place feels so vital despite what the council says about just booking group slots.

My daughter loves this museum as do I, it is great how she can touch things without worrying about getting told not to. It is a great place to go on a rainy day. It is also one of the few places we can go when money is tight.people can take their kids
I grew up in Hull and have fond memories of the old animated penny slot machines in the foyer. I visited again a couple of years ago and my children were fascinated by the mummy. This is an important resource for Hull people and for visitors.
Exhibits like the Gallery of Victorian Childhood at the Hands on History Museum are important for children's understanding of both their heritage and history. How sad if the museum closes and this great resource and educational tool is lost!
This us a very important place my father's shop is here how can you justify a closure? As far as I know the other museums don't have this type of street life! Its important to keep it staffed and as it stands for people to visit as and when they like.
As a primary school teacher educating the next generation I implore that the hands on history museum be kept open to as an essential opportunity for children and adults to gain knowledge and information they may otherwise been unaware of.
Not a good idea closing museums in city of culture year ..rethink its uses ..new cultural hub...education ( it's a school!) not beyond the means of some of you bright people?
My children and grandchildren love this place shame to see it closed please keep it open

Hull won the City of Culture Bid because of it's current as welll as proposed cultural attributes. To close museums is going back on it;s promise to the poeple of Hull and to the City of Culture Committee that awarded the honour to Hull
