Name: Susan Wheeler on Nov 1, 2012Comments: In its almost 20 years of existence the Cat Sanctuary located at Largo Argentina in Rome's historic center has spayed and neutered an amazing number of cats. However, it has done far more; it has played a major part in making Romans and people far beyond Rome aware of the importance of spay / neuter if there is ever to be a humane solution to the overpopulation of free-ranging cats. It is of upmost importance that it be allowed to remain in its current location and continue its valuable work Torre Argentina has spoken to people throughout the whole worldFlag

Name: Tom Schuringa on Nov 1, 2012Comments: I wholeheartedly sympathize with the cause of Rome's cat shelter. Any threat that the association might constitute to the conservation of the archaeological treasures of Torre Argentina is nothing compared to the large-scale neglect and pollution that the temples suffer from. The association's work is too important to be hampered by political motives, and certainly the cats of the Largo di Torre Argentina deserve better.Flag

Name: Claire Culver on Nov 1, 2012Comments: The Torre Argentina Roman Cat Sanctuary is doing something that is very beneficial and they have been doing it for years. Why anyone would want to stop them from protecting cats the way they are is a question that needs to be asked. This sanctuary needs to be allowed to do what it has been doing for a very long time.Flag
