Petition in support of Beach and Bush Gallery and their right to determine their own menu, pricing and operating hours. Letter from owner: Attention Customers of The Beach and Bush Gallery Cafe I have received notice from Brian Longbottom of the Board of Kiama Tourism that I no longer will be able to serve you from the 1st of July 2013 as they will not renew my lease. The following are the reasons: - My food has to be tourist family friendly, both from variety and price point. They want Kiosk Fast Food and lower price food ie. Under $10. They feel my food is expensive, and even though I have indicated that I can add items to the menu, that is not what they want. They want food to so satisfy the tourists. -They want me to trade to 5.30 pm, even though there is no one here most days. I am willing to trade to this time in the peak summer months of December and January. - Mr Longbottom also indicated that if I want to serve you, The Locals, I should pack up my business and move it elsewhere. So for these reasons they will not give me a new lease. I believe my staff and I have served you well over the past 6 1/2 years and we very much want to continue to serve you.
