This petition is to save the art program at USU in Price, Utah. Recently, the board of USU has cut art programs on our campus. They cut the ceramics department, sculpture department, and many other programs only keeping what's necessary. Our small town is known for the Helper Arts Festival and now with many of the USU art classes cut we are afraid we will lose most of our applicants. Art is a way to express creativity and release stress. Many of the students at our local high school look for their future and career through concurrent enrollment and cutting USU classes steers students away from USU.
