The Salvation Army afterschool offers a excellent program where our children are being pick up from school and provide homework assistance to our children. The program also give our children a opportunity to interact with other children, as well as, offer a safe environment for our children to stay while we work. The safe are caring to our children. Not only are they offering afterschool, they also offer religious practice which teaches our children structure and live skills, as well as, faith. They also have a youth program on fridays which helps to keeps our youth off the street. The neighborhood where the program is located in the south bronx does not have any other facility in the area like this and it is ashame that the program is ended on 03/30/2012. Our parents desperately need this program to stay open so we can have a safe haven for our children to be in. Our children are devastated and desperately need this program to stay open. TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN FOR EVERYONE.
