Hello there, it has been made to my attention that the headteacher of William De Ferrers wishes to close the Youth Centre. When this is happening I do not know as I have not been told. It is of the up most importance that the YC stays open for the children. However things need to change so we can be more realistic about things.
I suggest the following:
Young children (maybe called Little Starz 11-14) have a afternoon session - 4.00pm - 5.30pm Making sure they get home in time for dinner. They will be charged at a rate of 20p per session.
Older children (Called bigger stars? 15-18) Have a evening session - 7:30pm - 9:30pm Being charged at a rate of 50p per session.
The reason of this charge is to ensure that new equipment can be brought such as sofa's, new ping pong tables, snooker cues, TV's secondhand consoles such as xbox360, ps3's Wii. Also maybe a camcorder so the group can make their own vlogs that they can upload to a special YC youtube. Also I suggest funding be used to buy a secondhand laptop so children can edit their videos as well.
