Name: GEOFFREY HAIGH on Jan 30, 2013Comments: Who,apart from insomniacs will be listening to this at 6.00am? You already have a church service on Radio4 at 8.15 a.m.and the majority of people that listen to the 8.30p.m on Radio2 are probably older people who can't get out to church for an evening service and would greatly miss the Radio2 Sunday Half Hour. The BBC, yet again, is marginalising Christianity by various means such as not having a fixed time for Songs of Praise on TV and now moving Christian programmes to time slots which will see a drop in listening followed by the BBC saying it can no longer justify broadcasting at all, when poor audience figures come in.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 30, 2013Comments: Most listeners will not have ipads, etc. It is a blatant attack on Christians and particularly elderly people. How many people are awake at the new time on a Sunday. You would not use that time for a young audience because they also would still be asleep.Flag

Name: Mike Tanner on Feb 1, 2013Comments: I am saddened that this wonderful programme is being withdrawn. I will miss it. Unfortunately it is a sign of the times. Many of the listeners are like me of an older generation, and I do feel it is insulting to suggest that it can be listened on the BBC iplayer when many listeners do not even have a computer. Another own goal by the BBC.Flag

Name: Rodney Mather on Feb 2, 2013Comments: Please restore Sunday Half Hour to the Sunday Evening time. The new programme is at an unearthly time, and is now like a day time Disk Jocky show, with programme advertising half way through. It is insensitive to those who use it as a time of worship. Who thought of the stupid virtual candle rubbish. What does it achieve. Lets have Sunday half hour back with good hymns. Not an hour of inferior music, that is now played. This week "Bridge over troubled water" Tacky and not worship or praise.Flag

Who are these revolting people who take these arbitrary decisions and how do we get rid of them to prevent the Philistines from controlling the airwavesFlag
