Name: Helen Lines on Jan 28, 2013Comments: Sunday half hour is important to many elderly people. The BBC by saying that they can listen to the 6am slot instead on the iplayer, show how out of touch the BBC - elderly people do not understand such technology. Christian programmes are being marginalised by the BBC.Flag

Name: Jane Prior on Jan 28, 2013Comments: I value so much BBC Radio services and I want others too as well. For myself, as a Christian, these opportunities to listen too Christian prayers, worship and Bible readings and relections are precious, uplifting , helpful and reassuring. Also, many, many people who may not be able to attend Church any more,or may never have, or are home-based in their life are inspired and helped by Sunday Half Hour at 8.30pm.An earlier time of 6am is far too early and will deprive them of the opportunity of being part of the World Wide Christian family which the 8.30pm service brings to them and to which they are entitled, this is a Christian country.PLEASE don't change the time of Sunday Half Hour to an inaccessible and unsocial hour for listeners like 6am would be.Christian Church services are not held at 6am 'live' so why even think about broadcasting them at a time which is unfamilier , inconvenient ,impractical and impossible for almost everyone.Thank you for your attention& please leave Sunday Half Hour time alone at the familier time of 8.30pm.ThankyouFlag

Name: Kathryn Trotman on Jan 29, 2013Comments: This is on behalf of my parents who are housebound and have loved this programme ever since it started. There is now way they can listen at that time in the morning and have no way of listening later - especially as tapes are no longer around for use either! The Morning Service is their morning listening and Sunday Half Hour was a lovely end to Sunday for them. PLEASE PUT IT TO A MORE CONVENIENT TIME!Flag

Name: Mrs Jean Lewis on Jan 29, 2013Comments: 8.30pm is a good time for people to sit together and listen to this programme. Very few will be able to listen at 6am and do not have access to listen again. Neither will they feel like concentrating and joining in.Flag

Name: Juliet Reeve on Jan 30, 2013Comments: By moving the programme 14 hours earlier the BBC is discriminating against older listeners who may not have computers. The BBC is marginalising Christianity even Though nearly 60% of people said the were Christian in the census. The programme change was carried out in a high- handed and devious way with one week's notice. Although the BBC says it is now a 1 hour programme they have actually cut down the religious output on Radio 2 on Sunday. The BBC say they are creating a Faith Zone time very early on Sunday morning. This is inconvenient for a lot of people and means that Christianity is not mainstream. The Sunday Half Hour 8.30pm slot on Radio 2 should be retained.Flag

Name: Peter And Margaret Briggs on Jan 30, 2013Comments: I am staggered that the BBC should even consider making this change without any consultation whatsoever. You got rid of the Your 'Hundred Best Tunes' quite a while ago and now you are doing the same with Sunday Half Hour. To add insult to injury you now put it on at 6am on Sunday morning and think that will placate all those who feel ignored and marginalised. Please do the right thing and re-consider this awful decision.Flag
