Name: Kenny on Apr 25, 2012Comments: If it wasn't for Plas Y Brenin ski slope I would not have met so many great friends nor got involved with disabled skiing or gone on to be the Performance Manager for the British Disabled Ski Team, or have gone to the Paralympics in 2006. It would be a great opportunity lost for so many if the slope was to close I have been taking my two young children to learn to ski there for the last 2 years I would like that to continue.Flag

Name: Rob Collister on Apr 25, 2012Comments: Over the years, the skislope ,more than any other facility, has formed a link between Plas y Brenin and the local community. This is a very short-sighted move on the part of the Sports Council.Flag

Name: Lucia Norton on Apr 25, 2012Comments: As a 17 year old sixth former I went on a fantastic week-long mountaineering course at Plas y Brenin back in 1972. Part of our instruction was on the dry ski slope and for me it was my first taste of skiing. It is a great facility and should be kept going for the benefit of the locals as well as people on courses. I am amazed that the Brenin no longer include the skiing on their courses, and that it has been suggested that the skislope goes.Flag

Name: Mark James on Apr 25, 2012Comments: We need all the dry slopes we can get to broaden the base of skiing in GB. As an Olympic sport in 2012 it would be a travesty to close this slope, perhaps Snowsports Wales should be given the centre and extra funding to return it to Welsh control ? Mark.Flag

Name: Dave Berry on Apr 25, 2012Comments: Please keep Plas y Brenin open!!! Closure would be a waste of a fantastic facility that has a given many people lots of enjoyment success and employment. Minority sports such as Skiing should not be forgotten, sport is not just about Football, Rugby, Athletics, Cycling etcFlag

Name: Ian Williamson on Apr 25, 2012Comments: I was President of Bangor University Ski Club back in 1996 and this facility was enjoyed by many. It provided a base to introduce newcomers to snow sports and was a place where experienced skiers and snowboarders imporoved their skills and technique. I am very aware of the wider legacies that have been born out of Plas Y Brenin and it would be very sad to see this facility close.Flag
