We the undersigned petition Sandwell College Board of Governors and Senior Leadership Team to review their decision to cut various courses which is affecting hundreds of students and staff. So far, the whole of the GCSE provision has been closed except for GCSE English and Science; the whole A Levels provision; Brickwork; Management and Logistics; Music Technology; plus various other departments which are facing cuts in the near future. We ask the College not to take away what could be the last chance for young people in this already deprived borough to make something of themselves. The College should look at other ways of tackling the low Retention and Achievement rates rather than taking the provisions out in their entirety by offering more extra support classes such as study skills, confidence building and tutor support.
