Comments: this ferry is perhaps one of the unique parts of the river Clyde and having worked in Scotstoun am proud to tell friends about it. If anything,I would venture to say that an update of works should take place.

Comments: This closure is the usual cost cutting measures that affects a lot of people but as it is a small cog in a big wheel then the managing owners feel they can over rule the public

Comments: this ferry link is of the utmost importance and should not be subject to closure because of financial constraints, what is the alternative for pedestrians to cross the river? in today's thinking of environmental issues, surely to cross the river by way of public tranport through glasgow / govan surely increases carbon footprint.

Comments: I regularly traveled on the Old Renfrew Ferry as a boy, and enjoyed seeing the chains and the engine. Nowadays I use it on foot and bicycle to cross over to Yoker to travel left to the Erskine Bridge, and left to Partick etc. I would very much prefer the ferry to be retained. Eric Young

Comments: With the regeneration of the Meadowside/Braehead area surely it makes sense to keep the direct link to the North side of the river open for workers and potential customers to Braehead, instead of foot passengers having to take the longer route via Clydebank or Glasgow City Centre.

Comments: Renfrew Ferry is a fast connection to the North side of the Clyde for those of us who depend on public transport. It would be a much more time consuming option if the Ferry closed.

Comments: I have used the Renfrew Ferry for years to visit friends and relations in the Renfrew area for countless years and it saves me a lot of unnessary traveling, it is safe reliable and reasonable. I think it is also unique form of transport and instead of doing away with it, it should be advertised and promoted!!! There a hardly any ferries left on our river, any other country in the world is using thier main waterways for travel and leisure activites. What a great missed opportunity this would be for the Clyde, the one glorious Clyde..... to mothball this ferry.
