Comments: SL gives a huge number of people the chance to experiment with their artistic side. People who would never get this chance in RL. Organisations such as PiRats are vital in giving these people an outlet for achieving this "second chance", which, at the end of the day, is a large part of what SL is really about. Art is their imagination come to life. PiRats gives them a world in which to do it by providing venue, community and audience. For these artists, PiRats, and similar venues, are prime examples of "Their World, Their Imagination" in action.

Comments: Pirats offers a venue to artists from around the world showing the works of some of the most creative people in both RL and SL. The art is enjoyed by many in SL, not just by other artists. As such Pirats is an important venue and has helped to promote SL as the premier virtual world for the arts. To lose Pirats would be a blow,,not just to artists from around the world but to the entire SL community.

Comments: Few venues have supported the challenging, innovative work of so many. Linden Labs needs to reverse its decision to raise tiers for nonprofit and educational organizations, and find ways to keep the creative people and the people who underwrite their existence from being forced out of Second Life. People like these are the ones who make virtual worlds an exciting place.

Comments: Pirats must not die !! As Einstein said, "Art is the expression of the Simplest Deepest Thoughts In The Way" ... Pirats all these years has made visible the art in SL and RL, and helped many artists. I am very saddened at the thought that all this will end! Linden needs to understand that art, it is true that does not lead to them, directly gains, but it is a source of indirect income, attracting many people. If not, .. because many artists are contacted by other Virtual Worlds, .. with offers of land, Sim free, to create art events, which attract many people, .. both in the Web and in virtual worlds?

Comments: I hope Linden Lab will recognise the valuable dimension organisations like Pirats add to Second Life. Pirats provides opportunities for artists to expose their work to a wider audience. This gives people like me art to look at that I would never otherwise find. And SL benefits from having a wholesome side it can promote.

Comments: Pirats is probably one of the most professional actor on the European SL art scene, and seeing the network disappear would really be a shame. Beyond Pirats, we should remember that many non-profit (artistic, educational, etc.) activities are currently threatened by Linden Lab's new pricing policy. We thus urge Linden Lab to change this suicidal policy quickly, before it is too late for everyone. SL needs not only artists, curators and gallery owners, but citizens as a whole...

*********************** Pirats should be the pride of Second Life. The terrifying MONDIALISATION that mines the World should not penetrate in SL . If Pirats disappears of SL, it will be an immeasurable loss for all and especially for the universe of dream and friendship that should be Second Life. The diary of the exhibitions and the cultural events organized by PIRATS since his its arrival on SL, and that gathered artists of all parts of the World, should bring the persons responsible of Second Life to wish and to want the maintenance of the most important enterprise cultural of SL : PIRATS!
