Comments: NPS needs to give control back to the trust! Pearson Air Museum is an important part of this community and it needs to stay!

Comments: NPS Pacific Region Director Chris Lehnertz: Restore the autonomy of the Pearson Museum. This is what the community wants and supports. Such decisions should not be about only what the Park Service and an unhappy staff want. But I suppose there are no NPS jobs for naturalists, archeologists, anthropologists, history scholars, agronomists and interpretive program rangers in an aviation museum. NPS:Adapt to your location and community needs, not merely imposing a self-serving agenda.

Comments: Can't figure out how NPS assumed they would take back building and keep museum pieces belonging to Fort Vancouver Trust. If you evicted a renter, do you expect them to leave their personal belongs??

Comments: The Parks department does not have the right to essentially seize private property and by their actions cause the Museum to have to shut down rather that risk having the rest of their PRIVATE assets seized and locked away like the archives. Small wonder that they chose to protect the assets of so many who have given to the Museum for the good of the community, and Shame on those who put them in that position after all these years of service to the community. I think that the only solution is to separate the two entities and let the city control the land that Pearson Air Museum has lived on for so long.

Comments: Please return the museum to the Trust. We (2 adults and 1 child age 10) really enjoyed our visit there and would return. We liked the both the educational and historical exhibits. Don't let a management turf war ruin a great resource!

Comments: The Air Museum contributes to the community and does outreach for aviation history. I am completely against the NPS bullying of this part of our state's heritage and excessive control of what was a very successful joint operation of public and private concern.
