Name: Jeff Keegan on Feb 10, 2013Comments: NPS Pacific Region Director Chris Lehnertz: Restore the autonomy of the Pearson Museum. This is what the community wants and supports. Such decisions should not be about only what the Park Service and an unhappy staff want. But I suppose there are no NPS jobs for naturalists, archeologists, anthropologists, history scholars, agronomists and interpretive program rangers in an aviation museum. NPS:Adapt to your location and community needs, not merely imposing a self-serving agenda.Flag

Name: Diana Pietras on Feb 11, 2013Comments: The Parks department does not have the right to essentially seize private property and by their actions cause the Museum to have to shut down rather that risk having the rest of their PRIVATE assets seized and locked away like the archives. Small wonder that they chose to protect the assets of so many who have given to the Museum for the good of the community, and Shame on those who put them in that position after all these years of service to the community. I think that the only solution is to separate the two entities and let the city control the land that Pearson Air Museum has lived on for so long.Flag

I am completely against the NPS bullying of this part of our state's heritage and excessive control of what was a very successful joint operation of public and private concern.Flag
