Name: Tracy O. Doriot on Feb 7, 2013Comments: The out of control NPS must be forced to relinquish control to the citizens of Vancouver the control of the Pearson Air Museum. This agency is guided by those with a personal vendetta against the airport and aviation history.Flag

Name: Terry Wean on Feb 7, 2013Comments: What a travesty!!!! How on earth could the Forest Service do a better job than the people who are and have been totally invested due to their love of the history of aviation in general and Pearson specifically. Shame on you, Forest Service!!!!Flag

Name: Mary And Bob Mulcrone on Feb 8, 2013Comments: I can't believe the city or the Fort Vancouver National Trust would let this great museum go away. To all those involved "Get your knickers out of a twist" and do what has to be done to return the museum to the people of Vancouver, Wa. We want visitors/ tourists to visit us so don't blow it and give it away and then whine that we have to find a way to encourage people to explore our history. Don't be fools. Put your pride aside.Flag

Name: Chad Hertel on Feb 8, 2013Comments: Although control of the land that the museum sits on had been given to the National Park Service, the Fort Vancouver National Trust has done an excellent job of managing the site, preserving the aircraft and artifacts, and educating the public. Even if the National Park Service could regain the trust of the local citizens who donated property, time, effort, and money to build the museum to the status it held, I do not think they would be able to achieve nearly as much as the local community members have done.Flag

Name: Gary Alexander on Feb 8, 2013Comments: The Pearson Air Museum has been a wonderful asset to the people of this region for many years. The abrupt and sad closure of the museum violates the mission of the National Parks Service. "The National Park Service preserves unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the national park system for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations."Flag

Comments: NPS has demonstrated its head in the wrong place and its heart is non-existant. This Museum and the activities it provides are precisely how it should conduct itself and especially on a National Parks Setting. This is a Museum not a cathedral.Flag -
