Comments: These proposals have not been thought out properly, how anyone can think a school of this size is a benefit is crazy!

Comments: It is ridiculous that our council would even consider this as appropriate.

Comments: I feel this merger is far too big, primary school should be small and community based. The teachers should know all the children and there families. In a school this size children will get lost in the system and the "personal touch" and close knit feel will be completely lost

Comments: Those sites are not big enough for the building, parking and outdoor sports facilities for that amount of pupils.

Comments: My sone is in P2 at Oxgang just now and is coming on leaps and bounds. I feel this would change if we were to have a bigger school. Not only that there number of children in a primary school being the same or more as the high school doesn't seem to good to me. I also have twins who will start Oxgang in Aug.

Comments: Surely it's better to have smaller primary schools closer to where the pupils live.

Comments: i have a granson in p2 and hopefully twins in p1 this summer i think small schools like oxgang should be kept as children seem to get more timespent with them than they would get in larger campus classes

Comments: I think it is an absolutely ridiculous suggestion to merge schools. Oxgang primary is a fantastic primary school and i would fight against any suggestions or plans to make this happen. I think a child education is paramount and of the utmost importance and the thought of any more of my children at 5 years old having to enter a high school environment as young scared vulnerable children. They would be loosing out on the innocence and happy atmosphere you experience at primary school before enterning high. I along with anyone else i have spoken to is very much against this.
