Name: Angela Humphries on Jul 29, 2009Comments: I have written 3 times to the executive staff at St Peters and have not heard anything back at all. My husband was an in-patient in Knowle for the 9 days before he died. It distresses me immensely that others in South Bristol will not have the support we had over those final days.Flag

Name: Cath Lewis on Jul 29, 2009Comments: I cannot believe anyone wants to close this hospice. These terminally ill people are not a different species - they are you and me, and our friends and family. I have just watched a dear friends of mine die in hospital in horrible clinical conditions when I know he wanted to be in a hospice with his friends and family around him. Everyone deserves this care when they reach the end of their life.Flag

Name: Rose Woodward on Jul 29, 2009Comments: This is a substantial to change to the care of terminally ill people, the community deserve the chance to be consulted before a final decision is made - there are many more costs that could be cut before closures like this are even contemplated.Flag

Name: Keith Evans on Jul 29, 2009Comments: I used to live behind the hospice in Tennis Road and know just how much the hospice means to the people of Knowle and the people who used it. The number of visitors and their cars was proof enough that the hospice provides a nuch needed service.Flag

Name: Rod Davis on Jul 29, 2009Comments: Please reconsider this plan to close the hospice. This facility provided care to a terminally ill friend, and his family, and it would be a great loss to not have this available to others in the future. Rod DavisFlag
