Stop the closure of Bath Community Academy.

The Cabot Learning Federation are trying to close our school and are putting our children education at risk. We as parents, feel very strongly about this and we are hoping the local community will help us to keep the school open. This may be the last chance we have of keeping a co-eductional school, serving the community of the south side of Bath. We will be handing this petition to the CLF, Banes Eduction Dept, The Department for Eduction and our Local MP, Rt Hon Ben Howlett MP.

It's important to keep a co-ed option on the south side of Bath. Ralph Awn's catchment takes in all the outlying villages so doesn't serve the Bath children as much as one would imagine. BCA is an amazing place, it needs to be saved for local families.

This is such a regressive step. BCA has always been a real community school. We encourage children to walk or cycle to school and this is the only secondary serving this area. There will be a demand for more South Bath school places when the new Mulberry Park development is finished.

BCA must remain open. There are children that need their school. There are many that have additional needs that only BCA cater for. Including my two sons , one of which has autism and the other is dyslexic. They simply would not cope anywhere else.

My daughter deserves to see through her year 10/11 education at this school, at this location. This time next year, I do not expect her to have to commute to another CLF school or another venue within BaNES. We need this school to remain a secondary school to serve the children in our area.

desperately needed this side of Bath. Will cost loads more to get new uniforms for other schools...then there's the transport side of things.Lots of single parents don't have a car or access to one.Seriously need a re-think about closing BCA..

I am registered disabled with c.o.p.d ( lung disease) and sent my daughter to bca because it was close to my home so that if there was a emergency my daughter could get home in less than 10 mins. Also her father attended this school before it was changed to bca.

This is short sighted - with new houses being built this wonderful academe should stay.

Now retired I taught for many years at Southdown Infants school and so am well aware of the need for a good local secondary school in this area and feel sad at the thought of it closing.
