Comments: Rectory Farm has become a quieter, safer place because of the hard work and dedication of the PCSO's and you want to take them away??? I would have to move if you did as couldn't put up with going back to the way it was.

Comments: Parish and Neighbourhood councils have the powers to fund crime prevention measures. The larger ones like Wootton or Duston could easily afford to pay for one or two PCSOs each. Police should ensure that those PCSOs are deployed only in the localities that pay for them. The parish councils would dictate their deployment or rostering. Long live the village beadle !

Comments: Keep the PCSOs Since their launch just a few years ago thay have made a huge impact on the Quality of LIfe in the community. Lose them and we will experience a large backward step in reducing crime and anti socail behaviour.

Comments: When the leader of the borough council, who was also responsible for sponsoring the county council's proposal to cut their share of the funding, says the police should use their reserves to fund PCSOs, he confirms he simply doesn't understand that the police have to build up and maintain these reserves to deal with any major crimes and incidents that might arise.

Comments: PCSOs are a valuable asset and assistance for an over-stretched police force. We, the public, have a right to feel safe in our own communities and the PCSOs go along way towards to helping us to achieve this.

Comments: Any reduction of Police officers on the streets whether they are full serving officers or PCSO's will be certain to result in less effective policing in communities. I firmly believe that there should be a loser look at alternatives to cutting back on PCSO's. Perhaps a closer look at shared funding.
