My 82 year old grandmother, Betty Tees, has lived in her home for over 40 years. She worked hard as a cleaner on the Gatacre Estate for Sir Edward and Lady Thompson and the house she has lived in all this time was part of her salary. Sir Edward and Lady Thompson have since died and the estate is now the responsibility of the next generation of the family. Nan has long since retired, as a widowed OAP she is only required to pay a small rent, which was agreed with the family, and until recently this was all ticking along nicely but then the house was given over to the care of the grand-daughter, who, in only 3 years, has not only failed to look after the maintenance of the house but has now served a two month eviction notice! This is a serious breach of trust and an abuse of power which mustn't be ignored.
