Comments: Why stop our dogs from enjoying the beach as much as we do, it`s the humans that trash our beautiful enviroment leaving plastic, smoke butts, cans and more smoke butts ban them or have someone patrolling to fine the irresponsible owners. Don't ruin it for everyone else.

Comments: Please don't get rid of the leash free beach. Majority of us dog owners are responsible and pick up after them, and they love having a place to run free. This is one of the few places they still can!

Comments: This beach is one of the very few areas we dog owners can take our canine friends to run and play and enjoy the water. I use this beach as often as possible, normally in the early morning and am always respectful of other beach users and abide by the rules, as do the majority of fellow dog walkers.

Comments: There needs to be some access to beaches for dogs. Yes it's a bit annoying but as a community we need to allow animals access to some of the same things in nature we humans all enjoy.

Comments: The Mudjimba North Shore Beach is the only beach our family can take our dog on a regular occasion. I am signing this petition for reasons as follows: 1.There is no other place like it where you can be secluded from hotels (so not worry about noise) in the Maroochy area. 2.The wide beaches also allow most dog owners to avoid people sun-baking on the dunes. Also to navigate small dogs away from large dogs. 3.The beaches are too rough for general swimming use to most of the public and it would be a wasted space only to be used by surfers as it is now. 4.To disallow off leash would only cause more problems for other off leash areas like Kawana beach which has a higher number of non-dog visitors and tourists. 5.The bay side access is perfect for small dogs that cant handle rough seas and is one of the only places where dog owners can enjoy calm waters with their pets.

Comments: I can't believe our council woud ever consider closing this beach down for dogs or even setting off leash times. All you have to do is go down there at anytime of the day and see so many happy dogs running free. I have never seen any kind of dog aggression down there in the past 5 years we have lived in the area! After all I thought the council was wanting to promote dog friendly tourism on the coast. First you ban them from cafe's now beaches. Anyone who doesnt like dogs seriously doesnt know the love and friendship they are missing out on. In October, my beloved Simba was put to sleep and her ashes are scattered at her favourite place, on that beach! Going to North Shore is the highlight of our boy Taj's day. Please don't let this happen!!!
