   Comments: I live in Eureka and work in Fortuna; I visit the bakery for myself and the meat market for meat scraps for my dog. I value them both - it wouldn't be worth the stop as often if I could only do one or the other. Though the bakery is often too busy, I would be very sad to see the change.

To us it is worth the drive from Eureka to Loleta for these quality items.Up until today I have always enjoyed Loleta Bakery's breads....now I can't wait to see their business fold due to "Lack Of Interest".

    Comments: As a business owner myself, Mr. Van der Zee's on air interview about feeling bad. 60 days is not trying to work with Pixie, - it is hostile in the very sense of the word. I'm also a Loleta resident and know first hand that Pixie serves her community in many ways. Our family has received her kindness, many times over. New to the community years back, our grandchildren couldn't reach me that school was closed. They walked to the meat market. Pixie gave them each an ice cream, left her shop, waited with them at the picnic table across the street until I could arrive from Eureka to pick them up. What a generous spirit.
