The Town Board of Spring Green has voted to change the curve on Rainbow Road from 25mph to 50mph at a cost to taxpayers of approximately $200,000. The State of Wisconsin will not help to support this expenditure because of the low accident ratio... only 4 accidents in 20 years. Many people in the town have indicated that they would like the curve to remain at 25mph or 35mph at a far lessor cost to the taxpayer of approximately $31,000. This requires exploration of an exception from the State in order to re-pave the road and bring it's curve to a safe pitch, with the farmers cooperation in planting low-lying crops.
