Name: Wendy Pearson on Dec 18, 2012Comments: My daughter is 17 Months old and on the 08/12/12 she had an rapidly developing peanut allergy. I went to ilkeston Walk In Centre only to be told this service is no longer operating. As a very worried mother of a young child I was mortified of learning this, resulting in a lengthy panic stricken trip to QMC. I'm surprised i didn't crash my car. Luckily my daughter only had a nasty skin reaction but it could have been so much worse. Ilkeston Walk In Centre provides an invaluable service which I am gutted to lose. P.S on Wollaton Road, Nottingham before you get to Raleigh Island, there is a large billboard advertising TWO city centre Walk In Centres..... How is this fair?!Flag

Name: Jenny Singleton on Dec 18, 2012Comments: It would be such a huge mistake with disastorous consequences if the walk in centre was to close. You have already closed the Stapleford one. I have one personal example. My daughter had a chest infection last week, I knew she was ill but it was too late to take her to my own doctors. The walk in centre saw her straight away and gave her some much needed anti biotics. If the walk in centre wasn't there I would have either gone to a&e at Queens Medical Centre and waste their valuable time on something that isn't an emergencey or, I would have to wait until the morning and prolong my daughters illness whilst I attempt to get an appointment at my already streched, doctors surgery. Please, please keep it open.Flag
