Name: Mimi Wilson on Jan 10, 2013Comments: There is actually an agricultural plan for Campbell River, really???????????? City are you sure you don't want us to buy everything from Walmart, or should I say China,? I'm sure that is where the children today think everything comes from. Good grief, what are we teaching our children these days. We seriously have to go to Courtenay to buy fresh produce and meats. Their Farmers Market is truly a farmers market, we should be embarrassed to call ours one. The cities plan, was to wait for a big developer to buy Holly Hill Farm, with their bags of money and poor cement. Make them responsible to clean up the cities mess. This is our family farm of 50 years, my father with Dick Murphy, being one of the first developers in Campbell River helped build Campbell River. Now my daughter and husband have the ambition and energy to create something wonderful for this community, please support them!Flag

Shame on you City Counsel for finding funding for "curb appeal" instead of community appeal. A town that supports eachother and supports ideas that will benefit our community for years to come need to be a priority and not placed on the back burner any longer!Flag

Well, here is a local farm trying to make a real go of it. Want to see local agriculture grow? Do something real to support it, instead of a bunch of talk. This is an opportunity to show the community that the City of Campbell River really is serious about supporting farmers. Or at the very least, not totally screwing them. Thank you.Flag

I love the idea of a farm in our neighborhood and hope that a resolution can be reached to prevent the flooding that is occuring on this and adjacent properties.Flag
