Comments: It is incredibly important that children get the best possible education available and if the community also make use of the building it shows clearly that there would be huge disruption to that community. It is illegal for councils to close schools to save money. Decisions must be taken ONLY on educational reasons and it is the responsibility of the council to prove that the school is not achieving a good standard of education. Parents and families must and will fight these closures. It is too important an issue to have half hearted responses.

Comments: I went to this great school and my 2 oldest children did, my two youngest still attend this great school,My daughter goes to a club at night in the school, I recently moved out of harestanes but kept my kids at this school because its so good, there settled there and my mum stays within a short walking distance to pick and drop kids off for me as I work, to move kids further away and into a bigger school is causing concern for so many people, bigger classes, so will affect learningin a big way, getting kids to school is going to be a big issue for a lot of people, closing, this will affect, children, parents, teachers, cleaners, support staff, clubs and church congragation

Comments: merging four schools is just ridiculous, it is bound to impact on children's learning as class sizes are bound to be bigger reducing one on one time with pupil and teacher, and surely this will result in teachers losing their jobs. Too many schools joining together and will result in some children having to travel an awful long way which will no doubt result in more children being dropped off by a parent not getting the health benefits of walking to school and causing congestion outside the school.
