Name: Monica Reade on Dec 3, 2012Comments: it is an unforgiving proposal that you have put forward which compromises Wicklow Towns character & unique and rare identity.dlease do not destroy one of the few remaining original features that has been there for all to appreciate over time. generations have benefited so why NOW would u destroy this beautiful landmark for the sale of more concrete & mass produced poor quality design. the people don't want it, please save Fitzwilliam Square & all of its wonderful characteristics. you will fuin the street scape if you tale it apart, piece by piece in order to satisfy your own personal needs. it's a very shortsighted approach & totally unnessarily or benefial to the people of Wicklow & the readers.compromises Wicklow Town historicFlag

Name: Karl Lambert on Dec 3, 2012Comments: Wicklow born and raised but now living abroad, I would still like to put forward my objection to the proposed works at Fitzwilliam Square. Although I am always for progress, I feel this proposal is a regressive step for the aesthetics of the town. In recent years especially around Christmas, the square has been looking particularly stunning. It would be an awful shame for these works to go ahead against the wishes of the people of the town.Flag

Name: Maeve Flannery on Dec 4, 2012Comments: Please, please do not take away our heritage. I spoke to a person who was in Bruige recently and they remarked on the lovely old cobbled streets, and the heritage of the place. Market square is a disgrace to our public representatives. What was wrong with the lovely old footpaths which were replaced with concrete and bricks which now horde lots of ants. We voted for you to represent the people of Wicklow, so now show us what you are made of.Flag
