Career and Technical Education funding for Arizona is scheduled to be cut $29 million dollars for fiscal year 2017. This will decimate vital programs that are proven to reduce dropouts, increase academic attainment and provide students with the technical skills to be college and career ready. In addition, these programs are a vital pipeline to the Arizona economy, providing a skilled workforce that our employers need. Our legislators and Governor Ducey need to fix this day one of the 2016 session. Please sign this petition if you support AZ Career and Technical Education and demand our representatives restore the funding.

It is vital that these programs continue to be funded. Arizona already spends less per-pupil than all other states. Also, the Financial cuts to the programs are not 7 1/2%, they are closer to 50%. The future of Arizona's workforce it at stake!!!

Career and tech edu. Is more important than you realize. Not everyone is college material. My husband is a bricklayer and I'm a cosmetologist. Neither one of us went to college we both have great careers . This state needs more hands on jobs taught to our young people

Please dont take away this funding. My daughter and son in law are teachers on the Navajo reservation and I know firsthand how much these programs help these young students and how badly they are needed. Please dont discontinue funding.

Please reinstate funding for JTEDs for the 2016-17 school year. This needs to be done first thing in January, since registration for next year is in February and principals need to finalize which classes will be offered. Please make this a priority!!

This program helped me determine my major and made my highschool experience amazing. Without CTE programs I would not be in college right now or know that I want to be teacher. Taking this program away would be taking away the next generations future.

I'm a CTE teacher, please support CTEC in our communities, for some kids this is the only opportunity to get certified training in our local economy. For many more it is these kids' launchpad to an economic future with post-secondary education!

Keep the funding for CTE programs that are vital to the work force in our community for high school kids who can't attend College, and those who cannot wait after HS graduation to be employed! This program is absolutely vital for the vibrancy of our community!! I will vote FOR this program to continue at the same level of funding it now has, OR MORE!
