British Leyland's Belgian site assembled cars and was also its European distribution centre till its closure in 1981. Most buildings are still up, as is the sign "Leyland Industries Belgium" at the entrance. We are trying to save it and make sure it is saved for future generations as an important part of the city's industrial past and as a tribute to all the people who worked there too.
