Comments: With the erosion of Legal Aid, we need to retain all the Law Centres we can, otherwise justice will only be accessible by the weathly (again)

Comments: Birmingham Law centre offers very valuable service to those who are vulnerable and need it most. I have certainly made severral referrals to the Law cenre and had positive results which im sure without their intervention would not have been achieved.

Comments: With the restrictions on legal aid coming into force this year, the law centre it is now more important than ever. The closure of the law centre would mean that Birmingham is one of the only cities in the England unable to offer access to free legal advice to its most vulnerable residents. The City Council has a duty to do all that it can to prevent this.

Comments: The Birmingham Law Centre serves a vital service to the people of Birmingham who need advice and information - with the savage cuts to CAB made by Birmingham City Council where will people obtain free legal advice?

Comments: Law centres are essential in making the law accessible for those who have difficulties accessing or understanding it. They are particularly vital in times of changing welfare circumstances for people to understand their entitlements.

Comments: as a lawyer of 25 years working in social welfare , family and mental health law it is clear that many social welfare issues are interlinked and it is false economy to cut a law centre funding to save money and thereby create further social problems which are expensive to justice , health and DWP budgets . It also undermines the morality of the State and encourages a dog eat dog society and a hopelessness to those who did not have the opportunity in life through wealth and good fortune Big Society? What do you think?
