This is a petition to stop the closure and demolition of Auchinairn Primary School, Auchinairn. This School has been in the community for over 200 years. It is crucial for this school to remain where it is for the families and children in the area. Most of the children walk/cycle to school as it is local. This will be taken away if the proposal goes ahead. Many families in the area will suffer, trying to get their children to a new school in a much further away area. The school also has a lot of after school clubs which most of the children attend, and they will no longer have if the school is taken away. The people of Auchinairn are against this proposal and we urge everyone to please sign this petition and spread to word to East Dunbartonshire council, that for the well being and benefit of our children, the community must have a school local which is easily accessible, in order for the community of Auchinairn to thrive and bring people together, most of all the children.
