I would like to ask anyone reading this to please read it and then sign if you agree. This petition is a request to the makers of Ameba Pico to think again about closing it or at least to postpone it. In Ameba Pico, you earn money called Gummies which can be used to change how your character and room look. You can earn this money by completing certain yet random challenges ("increasing your star collection"), or by being propped or rang. When you are propped, it means you look good or someone thinks your cool or just worthy of being propped. When your room is rang, it means somebody was visiting it and/or thought it looked good. With real money, you can purchase additional AmebaGold which can be used to buy exclusive things like pets. Every time you play Ameba Pico, you get one scratch off your Daily Scratch Card (one scratch per day), and when you get enough scratches, you earn tickets. Tickets can also be used to buy a lot (but not all) of those exclusive things. A very rare feature of this game is that one of it's aspects is dating, and it actually kind-of encourages in-game dating. You can mingle with people for that reason or just to socialize. This game means something different to a lot of people.

Here are the reasons why it should not be closed.
A) Many people have invested lots of money into the game, including somebody I personally know. Now their money is going to waste.
B) Many, many people love this game and consistently play it and now it is suddenly shutting down.
C) This game could survive if you give us more time to save it and if you begin charging for it, which would be a sad option but would still be better than shutting the game down.
D) Why should it close in the first place? According to Wikipedia, the site is closing due to "insufficient funds." But several people have payed for Ameba Gold.
E) Friendships and relationships started in this game could end because of it.

Here are some possible solutions to the problem.
A) Postpone the closing of Pico to give the players of Pico more time to save the game.
B) TEMPORARILY close it until you can open it back up.
C) Start charging a certain amount every month to play the game.
