Tacoma School of the Arts is a miraculous wonderland in which artistic high school students are given the opportunity to work closely with like-minded people and build upon their academic and creative abilities. It is like a serene paradise for those who are far too odd for 'normal' schools. However, there are times in which this peaceful way of functioning is tragically tarnished. You see, every now and then, a confused but well-meaning staff member will give out a worksheet or letter, or update their classroom website. This would normally not be at all harmful...except when the teacher in question utilizes the hated Comic Sans font for their document or web page. Why would Comic Sans be allowed to roam freely in a school filled to the brim with design snobs who can hardly bear to look the dreadful font in its childish, poorly executed face? Why must our otherwise aesthetically pleasing atmosphere be tainted? In signing this petition, you are urging the staff and students of Tacoma School of the Arts to never again use Comic Sans, unless providing an example of what not to do. Together...we can prevail.
