Name: Anonymous on Nov 30, 2012Comments: I believe there are more suitable areas for building another estate area in Basingstoke, e.g, Mandydown. I am opposed to the Razor's Farm build due to traffic congestion, loss of the countryside and without the countryside with the effects global warming is having on the world, i.e., flooding, Sherfield on Loddon is in the Loddon valley and we've had flooding before on the A33.Flag

Name: Janet Aris on Nov 30, 2012Comments: No, No and No again. We cannot bring more traffic, houses and people to Chineham. The area will not be able to cope with it. There is just not the infrastructure to cope with this extra development. Besides the lack of schools, medical facilities and extra traffic being a major consideration what about the water situation of sewerage, flooding etc. The site proposals show balancing ponds so they are obviously aware of a potential issue over flooding. The car park for the station seems to be situated on land protected as a natural barrier which also is home to bats which I believe are protected. There was protests when extra lighting was proposed for the playing area at Four Lanes school, what about the lights in a car park, backing on to a wholly residential area. This is a nightmare which must not be allowed to happen.Flag

There is no way any more houses should be considered in the area without each of these points being addressed.Flag

Name: Nick Bywater on Dec 1, 2012Comments: Razor’s Farm has no direct link to any of the main local roads and supposedly relies completely on access through the Chineham Business Park to the south. The notion that Cufaude Lane and Sherfield Park will not be used as ‘rat runs’ for northbound traffic is laughable, and that’s before you consider the impact on local health and education services. Instead, let’s REDUCE TRAFFIC by using a small part of this land for the long delayed Chineham Railway Station!Flag

Name: Felicity Walmsley on Dec 1, 2012Comments: I live in Sherfield Park and I am really concerned about the addition of commuter traffic from Chineham Business Park once the access road is opened. If the Razors Farm development goes ahead this will increase the amount of through traffic even more. It will make an already annoying journey to the A33 even worse! What happened to the road that was supposed to have been built along the back of the football field in Sherfield Park? If that had been built the traffic flow through some parts of the estate would be lighter.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Dec 1, 2012Comments: The traffic and parking on Sherfield Park are horrendous now and that's before the new road goes through to Cufaude Lane. Croudace have alot to answer for ! The estate is overcrowded with cars parked everywhere & people driving too fast and it is ruining what could have been a unique and beautifully designed (house-wise) estate. We won't be staying.Flag
