I have spent the last few days reading through the stories you all have shared about your experiences with our local waters. It is haunting to realize just how many of these young sharks are being pulled from the ocean before they ever get a chance to grow. I am currently working on a formal letter to the local organizers and I will let you know as soon as I send it off.

Seeing this level of support reminds me that so many others feel the same ache when they see these incredible creatures pulled from our waters. This momentum proves that our community refuses to stay silent while these tournaments continue to threaten our ocean health.

Keep them in the ocean where they belong. Stop the slaughter.
total waste of life. there are better ways to spend a weekend than killing sharks for trophies.
please put a stop to this. the ocean is already struggling enough without this happening.
its 2015 people!! why are we still having tournaments like this?? just wrong on every level.
Shameful. Leave these animals alone. We dont need to kill them for sport.

These poor creatures are just babies. absolutely disgusting that people think this is fun.
