Students Against Poverty's mission is to raise awareness concerning the poverty levels in our are. We are Wilkes University students that are appalled that over 28% of children in the Wilkes-Barre are are living in poverty. Instead of doing anything about this, society has just become better at hiding it. We hope that raising awareness will convince others to lend a helping hand to finding a solution to this problem.
