Name: Jeannie Vinson on Jul 7, 2009Comments: while the prison continue to justify its actions with numbers or staff; it it none-the-less neglectful of the Federal Postal obligations and rights of the Federal Post Office. Federal Law and Constitutional rights supercedes state law. They continue to stip the prisoners of all rights and outside influence or worse yet; the isolating them off from the outside world. Loved ones, family and friends are helpless. The justification for the DOC to say "they should have thought of that before they came" is not only derelict in duty, it is also a breech of authority to make such judgement. There are MANY men in prison now due to false accusations and have been frightened or intimidated into "taking a deal bu a District Attorney out of fear alone. This Must be addressed. Albeit in another forum, it is an issue I will continue to pursue.Flag

Name: LEONET CORINNE on Jan 20, 2010Comments: I am a french woman and I am writing regularly to a prisoner who is in the San Quentin State Prison in CA. My letters never get to him before five or six weeks minimum. I have also sent some books recently - through Barnes and Noble, and I am not sure he has not got them. He keeps on telling me that those people in the prison never distribute the mails when they get it. I do know he is very anxious about receiving those letters. So thank you for answering my letter.Flag

Name: Kim Perrin on Mar 3, 2010Comments: My husband is already isolated from the outside world. He is in reception which is the worst part of doing time. Locked up for the majority of the day with nothing to do. No television, no phone privelages and little or no outside time. All that he has to look forward to is letters from me (his wife). He hasn't received any of my letters in over a month. When he got there it took 3 weeks to finally get some of my letters to him. All of a sudden he's wondering why I haven't written in over a month. I have not stopped writing. They just aren't delivering them. I'm very frustrated! It can be discouraging because you can't help but, think he will never get them.Flag
