Please help us honor the bravery of the Sandy Hook Elementary School victims. Sign this petition to award these individuals the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

While there are many heroes who acted bravely allowing many students to escape, these six people performed the ultimate act of bravery:
Dawn Hochsprung, Principal, killed while attempting to overtake the gunman.
Mary Sherlach, School Psychologist, killed while attempting to overtake the gunman.
Rachel D'Avino, Behavioral Therapist, killed while shielding one of the students.
Anne Marie Murphy, Teacher, killed while shielding her students.
Lauren Rousseau, Teacher, killed while protecting her students.
Victoria Soto, Teacher, killed while hiding and shielding her students.

The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the highest civilian award in the United States bestowed by the president. It recognizes individuals who made "an especially meritorious contribution to the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors." These individuals made the ultimate sacrifice to help save the lives of children. Please recognize their efforts.
