Comments: It is DMBC's civic duty to ensure that public greenspace and leisure/recreational areas are fully maintained for the benefit of all law abiding citizens. What is DMBC doing with income generated by Council Taxes if they can't be bothered to spend some of it on maintaining public areas

Comments: It makes financial sense to have park wardens, to reduce the cost of vandalism; it also reassures the public and reduces the risk of anti social behaviour

Comments: We should definitely keep the Wardens and have more of them else where too. It keeps people in jobs and keeps the mindless vandals away.

Comments: Without park wardens there will be an increase in vandalism and a sense of insecurity by citizens enjoying the park. This is false economy and results in a loss of park facilities.

Comments: I cannot understand what idiot decided to stop the funding for wardens in Wheatley parks. Surely it must work out cheaper to pay for them, than what it must be costing to repair all the damage that has been caused.

Comments: the wardens help ensure the park is safe.we saw a dead birds head on the grass.this may have frightened a younger child.the wardens were at hand and were informed to remove it.who would have removed it if not for them and how many children would have to look at it rotting away on the grass

Comments: Since the loss of Park wardens, the state of the park has deteriated tremendously, the amount of litter, dog mess and graffiti has increased as well as the criminal damage and general Anit-social behaviour. Why cant these people within the council see this, and do something to bring the Park Wardens back.

Comments: This makes me furious. We want action now before somebody takes it upon themselves to catch these people in the act and takes inappropriate action. The people that carry out these acts need to be deterred and park wardens are the way forward. Surely the saving made by the Council in repairs and'clean-ups' would pay for a warden. Sort it out DMBC!!

Comments: My great grandfather was William Frost who lived in the park. I have just discovered this and I would hate to think that when I eventually visit the park will be vandalised. He worked hard all his life and was the father of 12 children. I bet none of them vandalised anything they were too busy trying to get a living.
