Comments: The Canadian laws on marijuana suck sooo badly. Many people are still being imprisoned for the possession of minscule amounts of marijuana. OUTLAW ALCOHOL BEFORE YOU OUTLAW POT! You government pricks can't see that drugs like nicotine and alcohol, and many, many prescription drugs cause more harm and are accountable for an exponentially larger number of deaths in Canada. In all truth, I don't see any reason why the government shouldn't use legalization and regulation of marijuana to their advantage. End any and all drug wars over marijuana, stop drug dealers dead in their tracks, end the senselessly heinous abuse of the criminal code of canada by imprisoning non-violent offenders. LISTEN UP JEAN!! YOU NEED TO RE-EVALUATE YOUR OUTLOOK ON MARIJAUNA! you obviously are never going to end people from sellin, smoking, or growing the drug by using current methods, so why not embrace what is and stop sending this country and its inhabitants into a downward spiral of debt and deficit by wasting valuable resources trying to stamp it out. EMBRACE THE CANNABIS CULTURE! END DRUG DEALING BY REGULATING IT LIKE ALCOHOL! STOP FILLING YOUR JAILS WITH NON-VIOLENT OFFENDERS! GET THE POLICE TO DO THEIR DAMN JOB AND KEEP US SAFE FROM RAPISTS AND MURDERERS! I AM NOT THREATENED OR OFFENDED IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM BY A STONER OR STONED PERSON! THEY ARE HAPPY PRODUCTIVE PEOPLE!!! TREAT POT AS IT IS! A NATURAL SUBSTANCE THAT IS FUN AND RECREATIONAL LIKE BOOZE! WHY NOT OUTLAW BOOZE!! You need to sit down with all the officials and rethink your strategy....instead of shelling out millions to the police to try and arrest marijuana users, why not regulate and sell the drug to make profit off of it. I honestly have not heard of one report of anyone starting a stoned bar fight, only drunken bar fights. Nicotine users are only harming themselves you say, but what about second hand smoke...if every nicotine user started smoking pot, no one would have to worry about second hand smoke, because marijuana does not contain the addictive or harmful chemical compounds as tobacco. Why does it seem that the only people who can't see the positive side to the regulation and legalization of MJ are the only people who can do anything about it. Please if anyone else in Canada reads this send me an E-Mail at boberto96@hotmail.com I'm trying to organize pro-cannabis rallies in all major cities and in front of Canadian Parliament. I guess that is the only way the government will take notice of us. 420 RULES MAKE POT LEGAL, YOU'RE ONLY HURTING YOUR COUNTRY BY KEEPING IT CRIMINALIZED! peace.

Comments: The whole American 'Drug War'' fiasco is causing more harm to Americans that the drugs themselves. It is amazing to me that this 'free' country of ours has more people incarcerated for DRUG crimes than all thirteen European nations have incarcerated for ALL crimes and they have 100,000,000 more people!!! The American drug laws have ruined countless lives and is structured to accommadate the rich. How many Kennedy's have you heard about going to jail California Rep. Randy Cunningham cosponsored legislation mandating the death penalty for drug traffickers, that was until his own son was caught smuggling 400 lbs. of marijuana. Then he was begging a federal judge NOT to give his son the five year mandatory minumum sentence. So, does that mean it's all right to send our kids to jail for eons, but not yours What a bunch of low-life hypocrites. Everyone in office in America needs to get a clue. The only thing that Prohibition contributed to this country was the Mafia, what will the 'Drug War' have contributed when all is said and done I am ashamed of a country that wages war on it's own citizens.

How dare "man" say we can't partake. Geez... Please make sure this bill get's passed. It will ease Canadian backlogs, anyway.

Comments: I think that marijuana should be made legal. When has anyone seen a man smoke a joint and then beat their wives or childern, but i have seen many men beat their wives and kids after they have been drinking acohol. Maybe that will help these conservative bastards understand some of this horse shit they have been slinging at us potheads

Comments: Marijuana should be completly legal, it has no permenant side effects and has never caused a death due to overdose. There should be laws about driving while high but we should be able to do what we want as long as we are not infrindging on the rights of others. Marijuana users are some of the most piecful people I know. So for Gods sake legalize it and let us all come out of the closet

Weed shouldn't be like completly legal cuz then it would be way expensive compared to right now, weed is practically cheeper then asprin. Canada you rock, I know some people who would have a life 2X better then it is now if they wouldn't go to jail for their bud habits

Comments: Iam outraged as to how the american government has outlawed marijauna because of the simple fact that america does not care if people smoke or use marijauna as long as there caught and fined large amounts of money,Since its not taxed, although if marijauna was legal the united states government would have a field day with state and federal tax. That is why i question rather or not this is in fact a free country.
