Name: Thomas Mooney on Jul 3, 2003State: ILCountry: USComments: I Have used marijuana since 1965 for experimentation 1st, then finding it helped me deal with PAIN. I have been in so much pain for so long that I did'nt know just how much pain I was in 'till I gave it up 6months ago. Now that I've been "off" of it, I.m finding medical problems I never "remembered I had, because I had it covered up with the Hemp. I hope to see your gracious country soon, as I don't break laws except to be able to live without pain. I thank God you have the sense to allow your laws to help those of us who suffer from the ignorance of American law. GOD BLESS CANADA!!! TomFlag

Name: Robert Willis on Jul 26, 2003State: FLCountry: USComments: it is long over due to stop prohabition of marijuana laws,if I could use it legalie,I could do away with all of my pain meds.,for chronic pain!!!when I can afford to I'll move to 1 of the 11 states that have it legal for medical use.But i really don't want to leave florida becuse the climate is good for my pain's,the cold weather makes my body hurt that much more. Are constitution says we have the right,to practice religion ,well look at the first page of the old testament,of THE HOLY BIBLE,verse 11&12, VERSE ,11,AND GOD SAID,LET THE EARTH BRING FORTH GRASS,AND THE HERB YIELDING SEED,&THE FRUIT TREE YIELDING FRUIT AFTER HIS KIND,WHOSE SEED IS IN ITSELF UPON THE EARTH:AND IT WAS SO. VERSE-12,AND THE EARTH BROUGHT FORTH GRASS,AND HERB,YIELDINGSEED AFTER HIS KIND,AND THETREE YIELDING FRUIT,WHOSE SEED WAS INITSELF ,AFTER HIS KIND,AND GOD SAW THAT IT WAS GOOD!!!Flag

Name: Kulwant Singh on Aug 25, 2003State:Country: CAComments: Hello, I'm a young Torontonian and I would just like to say that its nice to see that not all Americans are brain-washed with the "War on Drugs", "War on Terrorism", "War on anything we dont like" propoganda that your government constantly pumps out. I feel bad for you however because the US will NEVER legalize pot, not because they think Weed is bad or immoral but because its a means for your government to get your name and finger prints in thier system. What better way of keeping tabs on law-abiding people I truly hope that your next elections bring politicians who LISTEN to your people and drop this "War on Everything" attitude instead of another regime dictating whats right and wrong for the rest of the world. Thank You.Flag

Name: Shirley McGarvey on Sep 25, 2003State: MICountry: USComments: I hope this petition is still going on. I only found it while looking for marijuana laws in Canada, cuz my son said it was legal there. I am a 50 yr. old wife and mother, I do NOT smoke. I do admit I did in the 60's and 70's. But I don't think the US should be involving themselves in another countries problems. Look at Viet Nam, stuck their nose in, and even the american soliders they sent there were critasized when they came home. I say Canada should do what they feel best for their country and people, and not let the US wiggle their way into your laws. Heck, they can't even do what's right for their own country. Land of the Free That's slowly goin out the window too. Native Americans, Indians (from India), alot of people use marijuana as sacramental, medicinal, but they are charged for religous beliefs. I think marijuana should be legalized world wide.Flag

Name: James Pursley on Oct 3, 2003State: KSCountry: USComments: I agree with everything that the page sponsor said. I have a felony possession of MJ. I was 18 at the time of the "crime". Now I'm 26 and I feel like I'm still in prison. I can't get any help from the government to get into to college, I can't get a decent STABLE job in this failing "United" economy. Most felons in the U.S.A can't vote. And, IF we could; who wants to When the majority of americans vote for someone, and a Big Business man gets the job, what's the use Our laws are unjust. I wonder how many police officers, and prison guards (of which(I'd estimate) 30% smoke MJ themselves)would be out of work, if 1/2 of the people imprisoned for just, smoking weed; were let out. Instead we'll ship all of "The People's" jobs oversea's to save Billions. And if we are fortunate enough to have a good job. We work 2 days for our old trustworthy "Uncle Sam", every week. I wish that Americans would stand up for their rights to smoke MJ. And I do Vigorously, applaud canadians for standing up for their rights. Hoorah. I Hear that Vancouver B.C. has the 2nd highest quality of life, in the World! ----------------------------Canada sounds very nice. A very nice place indeed. I'd hate to HAVE to move up there. Just to smoke my weed. ...In Peace...... I Love all you tokers and supporters, out there. Peace to you all.Flag

The pleasure of marijuana is so much more fullfilling than ciggerettes and cigars i know if marijuana was legal i would probably stay in school, go to college, and make enough money to live off of and get high every day of my life. because not all people are from it and msot the people that i know do it have jobs and live a really good life. my dad does it and he makes about $184,000 a year.Flag
