As you may know, we had a moment of elation yesterday when a Trader Joe's sign was spotted at Keizer Station, stirring a frenzied buzz of excitement throughout the Salem/Keizer area. And as quickly as it began, the WOO-HOO's and high-fives turned to sighs of utter disappointment. I started this petition hoping it would have a "power in numbers" effect; however, it's lacked the appropriate exposure and hasn't taken off like I'd hoped. SO, I'm asking all on it to submit an individual request form (see link below), even if you have done so previously. Maybe email overload will get some attention. My friend Lore Christopher, Mayor of Keizer, was interviewed today by KATU-2 about the "tease" of a situation yesterday and has begun her own Facebook campaign for this cause.
