Name: Kanwal Singh on Apr 7, 2009Comments: Founding fathers of this nation took a great pain in ensuring the freedom of religious practices. Many of the original immigrants of 1600s escaped religious persecution in their european home lands and came to the land of free. Your help will be greatly appreciated in perserving those freedoms in the great state of Oklahoma. We will not want this state to be labelled as a state propagating religious discrimination.Flag

Name: Harmanjit Singh on Apr 14, 2009Comments: In the land of the free, it is expected that the religiously mandated uncut hair and turban should not be seen as an exception but as a necessity. Here a community exists which has only been identified by their contributions to society in all avenues. It is only the lack of information or mis-information that acts as a hindrance in the acceptance of the sikh community. It is prohibited in the sikh religion for the menfolk to cut their hair. They are also required to wear a turban while being outside the house. It should in no way act as a hindrance to law enforcement agencies nor limit the co-operation by the community. Rather the religious practices are in consonance with most state laws in the US as those in countries like India(where the religion originated) and the U.K., Canada and most Asian countries.Flag

Name: Hari ATma Khalsa on May 25, 2009Comments: This bill is unconstitutional. Everyone is given the freedom to practice whatever religion they want, and some religions cover their head, so this is not a just bill. Also some people wear glasses so it should be ok for them to be photoed with their glasses on if they desire.Flag
