I can tell you that as a someone who has seen the work that Meridian Management and Mr. Simek have completed in the past, the project will be completed with the utmost care, concern, and forthought. Meridian is not doing this blindly but rather as a company/partner who has a deep appreciation for the neighborhood and it's quality of life. I ask you to consider and support this proposal for your fine neighborhood. Respectfully Submitted, Matt BoockmeierFlag

Name: Katie Sterns on Oct 30, 2007ZIP code: 55116Comments: Perfect fit for area and a great location w/ easy access to 35E. I would still also shop at Korte's and Mississippi Market like I do now. Korte's for everyday items and produce at Mississippi Market. I'm thinking that Trader Joes will bring a lot of people in from the suburbs- Eagan, IGH, Mendota Hgts, etc.- into St. Paul or a quick stop on the way home from working downtown. (Those people won't go to Korte's anyway.) It would open up the opportunity for redevelopment along Randolph (restaurants, shops, etc.) which it desparately needs... Trader Joe's has major pulling power. Make the area a "destination" like Grand Ave (it would help Grand Ave businesses too).Flag

I will go there either way, so saving me gas money while also allowing me to shop in my neighborhood is only a plus. I don't think it's presence will pose any threat to our local stores. It woudl only be an enhancement!Flag

Name: Frank Miley on Oct 31, 2007ZIP code: 55105Comments: This corner is in dire need of redevelopment and the proposed plan to put in a Trader Joe's would be a terrific addition to the neighborhood. I am certain that our family (my wife and seven children) would be customers. Additionally, I do not see that traffic would be negatively impacted. I live three house off of Lexington and would welcome this redevelopment.Flag

Name: Shannon Huntley on Oct 31, 2007ZIP code: 55116Comments: please support additional retail coming into this neighborhood. It will would be a convience to those in Highland and prevent us from needing to drive to woodbury. More unique shops in Highland would be a great addition to the neighborhood...and not require us to always drive to grand avenue.Flag
