The petition

To: Mayor Coleman, Council Member Pat Harris, Members of Highland District Council, Members of Saint Paul Planning and Zoning Committee;

We respectfully request that the Highland District Council, The City of Saint Paul Planning and Zoning Committee, Council Member Pat Harris and Mayor Coleman vote in favor of the redevelopment and rezoning of the entire site at the South East corner of Lexington Parkway and Randolph Avenue to a TN-2 Classification. (Traditional Neighborhood)

Saint Paul currently supports a wide range of ethnic restaurants and specialty retail outlets, and we feel a Trader Joe's is what this corner needs. Trader Joe's would fill a unique niche, without competing directly with existing businesses.

We feel this neighborhood project achieves many important goals including:

*Comprehensive Development/Designed to Fit in with the Surrounding Neighborhood

*The Corner would Benefit Aesthetically from Redevelopment

*A Comprehensive Traffic Management Study has not indicated any significant change

*Create Pedestrian friendly retail Shoppes in the Community

We, the residents of Saint Paul ask the City of Saint Paul to allow such redevelopment of this corner in our community.

We urge the Mayor, Council Member Pat Harris, The Highland District Council and The City of Saint Paul Planning and Zoning Committee to approve the rezoning and development including a Trader Joe's for this corner.

Sincerely,
The Undersigned
