Paul J Baker | The DEP cannot serve as a promoting and permitting agency to the extractive industries and at the same time an oversight and regulating agency to those same industries.

Dana Kuhnline | No one at the DEP would be this careless if this was in their own backyard. Why won't you fine offending polluters? People get tickets for throwing a soda can out the window, and you can't fine Massey for dumping millions of gallons of toxic slurry into people's well water?

Sr.Conall O'Connell, osf | Please don't let West Virginia be destroyed any further. West Virginia needs to be leader in development of solar energy and other alternative energy instead of hanging on to coal which is a health hazard and an environmental enemy.
Amy Fabbri | Please start enforcing regulations and protecting our precious water and the people of WV.

Anonymous | I am appaled by recent photos of my former home state, because of this horrible practice. My wife also formerly of Holden, Wv. recently had her gall bladder removed because it was literally dead, posibbly from water she drank all her life. She has always had stomach trouble along with other similar problems. We would like to see this type of extraction stopped!

Anonymous | Water will soon become even a more-precious element than the air we breathe! Both have become so contaminated, that anything we can do to save and purify it ANYWHERE will be appreciated!
